MR 7971 Figure 2-3 Removing Bottom Cover 8 VT18X UPGRADE KIT INSTALLATION REMOVE TERMINAL CONTROLLER MODULE FROM INSIDE VT100 Use the following procedure. 1. Remove the terminal controller module (Figure 2-4) from the card cage. Disconnect theground wire, if present, from the module and pull the module out of its connector. 2. If present, remove the advanced video option (AVO) shown in Figure 2-4 from the terminalcontroller module. With needlenose pliers, press each standoff together while lifting up on theAVO. 3. Remove any module installed in the STP connector on the terminal controller module (Figure2-4). The printer port option (VT1XX-AC) is not used in this computer.
