Some cool Digital Camera images:
Busy scene of shoeing horses in France
Image by National Library of Scotland
Most of the men in this busy, busy scene are totally engrossed in their tasks and as a result are oblivious of the camera. This makes it quite an interesting shot to look at as none of the people are artificially posed. Horses were one of the most important resources at the front and this is reflected in the studied activity and size of installation seen in the photograph.
Horses were an important resource on the front. They not only carried cavalry officers but were important for transportation across uneven and rough terrain.
